has joined forces with audio equipment and headphone
manufacture Skullcandy in what both companies view is a major coup in the
personal audio market. The joint venture has already released its first
product, the new Aviator headphones.
The headphones feature polycarbonate headphone cups, ear cushions made of
memory foam, and the finest metals and other materials normally seen in
high-end fashion. Throw in state-of-the-art electronic components and the
Aviator promises to change the way we listen to music.
The deal is especially beneficial to Skullcandy as they attempt to move beyond
making products just for the action sports community. Release of the Aviator
line gives the company a clear foot in the door while further enhancing the
Skullcandy name in DJ headphones, gaming headsets, integrated MP3 players, and
other types of audio equipment. Undoubtedly the company will continue to
support, and even pursue, action sports pros and amateurs.
For Roc Nation's part, the addition of the Aviator is another feather in their
cap as they strive to achieve the highest quality music available. Having
already proved their expertise in a live sound environment, Roc Nation now
turns their attention to producing the clearest, cleanest, and purest
reproduced studio music. If the Aviator meets with at least modest success, the
two companies plan to expand their product line significantly.
